College Project
College Project encourages chapters to look closer to home - on their college campuses - for needs and opportunities to engage and give back. It's a great opportunity to foster communication with your college administration. Chapters can play a significant leadership role on their campuses by encouraging students, faculty, and administrators to sign the "Call to Action in Support of Students," indicating their commitment to the Community College Completion goal.
Show your appreciation for the support of your college faculty and staff by designing a college project to honor their work.

This Year's College Project
At the beginning of 2025, the College Project conducted research on where SWC students study over the weekends. We found that many Southwestern College students struggle to find conducive study spaces each weekend, with many students making the 30-45 minute drive to utilize the San Diego State Academic Library. While working with our college's administration, we discovered that a large majority of SWC students were completely unaware of the weekend study resources available at the National City campus.
The 2025 goal of the College Project is to raise awareness of weekend study spaces open to all Southwestern College Students, regardless of their home campus. We are working hard to reach students on all Southwestern College campuses (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, San Ysidro, and Crown Cove Aquatic Center) and inform them of weekend study spaces to assist student productivity each and every weekend.
